pav 27-r-119 will not recover from sleep

Pavillion 27-r119
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Computer is new (Nov 20 2019) and has been returned to HP once already.  I have set computer to 'never sleep' to try to avoid situation where using the power button to recover does not work.  I must do a forced shutdown to get the unit to restart.

I am not a HP employee.


Was the first return to HP for warranty service related the the current problem? What did HP do to fix the problem.


I am not following what is happening.


I can tell you sleep problems where the PC will not wake causing the user to do a forced shutdown can be caused by a faulty motherboard if: power settings are correct, all device drivers are updated to the latest, and this event happens immediately after doing a clean operating system installation.
