Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Will my h8-1520t support an up grade from WIN 8.1 to WIN 10 or WIN 11?

It will support an upgrade to W10 but you will need to pay for a W10 license and product key since Microsoft closed the loophole in October of 2023 that allowed folks to continue to get the free upgrade from W7/W8/W8.1>W10 past the July 2016 free upgrade period.

If you decide to do that, you can then upgrade from W10 to W11 but since your PC does not meet Microsoft's minimum hardware requirements for the processor or TPM security device, if you are interested in installing W11 on your PC after installing W10, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H3.

You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.

Note that Microsoft will be ending support for W10 in October of 2025, so you may want to think about investing in a new PC that comes with W11.
