HP 2311x Monitor
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I deactivated my Auto-Switch for video source, then accidentally changed  the default source to HDMI, which I do not have.  Now, I cannot get ot to recognize the DVI source I previously had it on. None of the buttons will work and monitor just displays Check Video Cable.

Is there a secret way to Hard Reset so it can go back to Auto-switch again?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

The OSD may have locked out. Hold the menu button for 10 seconds, once its unlocked, you should be able to perform a factory reset on the monitor, if nothing works, check if it works on another computer.

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
