@juliepullen,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to connect the second monitor to your HP Pavilion 23-q105na Touchscreen All-in-One PC.

This issue could occur if the cable or the port is faulty or the drivers may not be updated in the device manager.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

Please let us know how you are connecting the monitor to your computer.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link to update the monitor drivers: Updating a Monitor Driver

Let me know how this works.

Also, let us know the let us know the operating system installed on the computer from the links below:

1. Click Here to Find Windows Operating System installed

2. Click Here to Find the Mac Operating System installed

You have a good day ahead.

@juliepullen,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue still persists after following the steps provided in the previous interaction.

This issue could occur if the connections are not correct.

  1. First, you'll need a USB 3.0 to Video Adapter (USB 3.0 A to B cable included).
  2. Connect your computer to the USB to Video Adapter with your USB cable.
  3. Connect an HDMIDVI-D or DVI to VGA cable from the USB to Video Adapter to your second monitor.

If the issue persists, then you may need to contact HP phone support for further assistance at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.
