HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p026
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

New to the forums. I hope you all can help me.

I have a 570-p026 that I inherited from my father. I am trying to add a second monitor and I can not get any monitor connected to the VGA port to display.

When I enter Display Settings, the computer detects the 2nd monitor and will even let me adjust its resolution, etc.

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 card has HDMI and VGA inputs. Connections to the HDMI work fine.

Intel Core i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00 GHz CPU Clock Rate 3001 MHz, 16.0 GB installed RAM, 64-bit OS, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Home Version 21H2, OS build 19044.1706

The following info is per the Intel Graphics Command Center

Intel HD Graphics 630, DirectX 12, Graphics Driver 30.0.101.1340, Shader Version 5.1, Open CL Runtime 3.0, Vulkan 1.2.203, Graphics Memory Shared: 8 GB, Vendor ID 8086, Device ID 5912, Device Revision 04, Graphics Output Protocol Version 9.0.1056, Maximum Supported Monitors: 3

hi

you are using a VGA monitor, does it work?
If you disconnected the hdmi, in order to connect only the VGA, does it work or not?
you don't use an adapter?
see this, even though it's not exactly the same type of connector, it's for parameters, it should be as simple as this:

Connect two HDMI monitors, with a graphics card 1 hdmi 1 displayport
