just purchased a 960hp 4k streaming webcam . plugged it into my macbook pro . I dont have a macbook that has a usb port in it so I had to plug it into an adapter but it hasnt turned on and my mac is not listing that a webcam is on the device list.I thought that the webcam would still work without any soft wear downloaded ? I thought the soft wear was an additional feature if you wamted to enhance the webcam etc.Looked into dowloading the softwear but says it is only avaliable for Windows 10/11 when it says on the website that I bought it from that it is compatiable with MAC and says that on the back of the box ?? I tried plugging it into a friends windows laptop and it recognised the webcam (as audio?)but the webcam wouldnt turn on still......
I downloaded poly hoping it might help my macbook to recognise it but still no luck

Hello @oli6778576576 ,
welcome to the HP Poly community.
You already checked via using another PC that the camera works. What Mac do you have that does not have a USB Port? Or is this missing a USB A port and Only has USB C ports? If yes then simply use a USB C to USB C cable as this is how I use the camera with my Macbook Pro.
Best Regards
Steffen Baier
