Hi @Pollarteon,

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

Based on what I see, the blurry red spot in the bottom left corner of your HP 15s laptop screen is most likely caused by a hardware issue, specifically, a damaged or malfunctioning display panel.

What You Can Try:

  1. External Display Test
  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor using HDMI or USB-C.
  • If the external display looks fine, the issue is isolated to your laptop’s screen.

2. HP Hardware Diagnostics

  • Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to enter HP UEFI Diagnostics.
  • Run the Display Test to check for stuck pixels or panel issues.

3. Check for Warranty or Service Options

Even if your laptop is out of warranty, HP sometimes offers discounted repairs for display issues. You can check here:

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved, and if you feel this reply was helpful, click “Yes”.
