HP Pavilion 590-p0021no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

Need advice on how to hook up an extra display to my HP Pavilion 590-p0021no. Find only one VGA display port (no DVI). Use the HDMI port to my TV.  USB with VGA adapter possible ?

Your machine has following ports at its back

  • (1) VGA port
  • (1) HDMI 1.4/HDCP 2.2
  • (1) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port
  • (5) USB 2.0 Type-A ports
  • (3) Audio ports
  • (1) RJ-45 port

The HDMI port is for your TV already therefore you can use the VGA port for monitor. Do you have monitor with VGA port ? If yes, just a direct connect using VGA cable. Otherwise you need an adapter from USB to DVI or HDMI or DP.

Regards.

USB with VGA adapter ? Will that work ?
