HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-xa0037nl
Microsoft Windows 11

I use my HP Pavilion All-In-One as my main PC and sometimes as a monitor for my laptop. I also want to use it to stream to. When I power up the Amazon Fire TV stick I get the Fire TV logo but as the boot up animation begins the sound and video disappear and I'm left with a blank screen. The Fire TV stick works on my TV. The HDMI IN works with my laptop. I've tried another Fire TV device and the same happens. I've tried powering the TV stick from USB via a mains adaptor. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, the firestick sends encrypted HDMI signals which the AIO cannot display.

You might be able to bypass the HDCP controls

maybe only for content that is not protected.

see if the  on screen display (OSD) has and option to enable HDCP

Thanks for that. Looks like the only solution is to buy a splitter.
