HP Pavilion 32 QHD
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Best wire to connect my HP Pavilion 32 QHD monitor to my HP Envy desktop tower. I don't have a display port, no video card. Do I use hdmi to hdmi or usb type C to usb type C. The instructions say to connect to usb C port in back of tower but it does not have one in the back only in the front. If it's type C do I connected to the one in the front? I'm concerned because some of this ports carry power and I don't want to damage my new monitor.

You can use any of the ports that are shown to connect the monitor to your computer.  Also, here is the Product Specifications page for it:
