Good Morning can someone help with this issue please? I've read the four possible solutions offered here to deal with Black Screen and Fan Running, however none of them will work.

 

Mine is a Pavilion Laptop running on Windows 10.  It relies solely on mains power, the battery hasn't worked for a long time. I only use the laptop for iTunes and have removed most other apps and unnecessary software. 

 

I would appreciate any practical suggestions bearing in mind that the Pavilion is elderly and does not work on battery power. I am not very technically minded, so simple step by step advice is the best method please.
