Can I connect multiple displays to HP Pavilion 14-ce3501na ?

HP Pavilion 14-ce3501na
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion 14-ce3501na. Is it possible to connect more than 1 external monitor to this laptop? If so, how is this possible? I have connected 1 monitor via HDMI and have attempted to connect another via USBC. This has not worked as I believe the USBC port on this laptop is for data transfer only and does not support video. Is it possible to connect another display via USB 3.1 port? Or using a HDMI splitter?

Thanks.

Hi@JDAD94, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Nearly all HP Pavilion notebooks don't have a docking port therefore you can't get a docking station for your machine or for HP Pavilions. The specs of your machine are

  https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c06468464

which shows it has

  • 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate);
  • 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only);
  • 1 AC smart pin;
  • 1 HDMI 1.4b;
  • 1 headphone/microphone combo;
  • 1 RJ-45

As you can see, its USB-C port does NOT support video out. At this stage, a docking station using USB-A ports still is a good choice. If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors, please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few options on the market today including some HP products:

or try following HP docks
