I tried attaching an HDMI cable, but no joy.

Its specs

It has following ports at its back

   

  1. Lock slot
  2. USB 2.0: 2
  3. USB 3.0: 1
  4. DC power in
  5. Power LED
  6. LAN (Ethernet)
  7. HDMI out
  8. Disk activity LED

You should be able to use HDMI out for a second monitor. Please check your cable and monitor. Can it DETECT the second monitor ?

Hi, thanks for getting back. I've just tried with a lap top so far to use that as a second monitor. does that work? or does it need to be a monitor? thanks.
