Pavillion 690
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an LG 65EF9500 HDR TV, and purposely changed the CPU in my HP Pavillion 690 to an i7-8700 and took out the NVidia card to be able to get Intel UHD 630 Graphics. But I am unable to stream HDR and my "Play Games and WCG" read "no". I did several Direct-x Diagnostic runs that repeatedly showed my monitor was fine but HDR on the PC was "Not Supported" no matter what the resolution or refresh rate. I updated all of the drivers with no result. Please tell me what I am missing. Why can't I stream HDR? I seem to meet all of the HDR10 requirements, but am getting nowhere.

Old_geekster-- I think I figured out my problem.  On the motherboard technical stats, it shows the HDMI port as a 1.4 rather than 2.0.  It made me realize that no matter how much I improve the Intel Graphics capability, the chokepoint will still be the HDMI 1.4 port when trying to stream HDR.  I started over again; disabled all of the Intel Drivers and reinstalled the NVidia 1660 ti card--and voila, I now can get HDR Streaming to work.  It appears that the new CPU enabled more/better functionality on the NVidia card which wasn't there with the prior Intel® Core™ i5-9400F chip, which started my whole odyssey  on this.  Thank you so much for your willingness to help me

I suggest that you read the "Display requirements for HDR" as stated by Microsoft:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4040547/windows-10-display-requirements-hdr-video

 

If your setup meets these requirements, please provide the full model or product number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it.
