Hi, over a year ago I downloaded a virtual background application for zoom meetings on my computer and it has completely taken over my webcam. The app is chromacast and I’ve tried several times to fully remove it from my computer but I’ve been unsuccessful. I can no longer use my webcam to take pictures. The screen is just black. And when I join virtual meetings my screen has the chromacast logo across it and the quality is very grainy. It’s so frustrating that it won’t get off my screen. It feels like a virus I can’t get rid of.

Hi @Imarifernandez,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you are facing issues with a Webcam. I'd like to help!

Have you done any changes to your OS or installed any software?
Do have an antivirus installed on your computer?

Try and update the Bios and windows update and see how it goes. Click here and select the current OS and product number before updating.

If that does not help then,This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I've sent you a private message with further instructions. In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
