Pavilion All-in-One - 27-xa0014
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I am trying to connect a 2nd monitor (HP Laptop) to my hp pavilion desktop. When i go to the display settings on my Pavilion desktop it looks different from the display settings on my laptop. I can connect it as my laptop being the initial monitor and my desktop being the second but i want it to be the other way around. I want my desktop to be extended to my laptop. Pavilion Display settingsPavilion Display settingsLaptop Display settingsLaptop Display settings

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Click on the desktops display>>Scroll down and select "Make this my main display". So the desktop will be the main display and the laptop will be the extended display.

If that's not an option, check the Intel control panel:

Right click on the desktop(any blank space)>>Select Intel graphic settings>>Display>>Multiple displays>>And select primary display as the desktop and the 2nd display as the laptop.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Betty, It only gives the option for single display even after the hdmi cables are connected.
