Connecting a monitor to a PS4

I want to connect my PS4 to the ho monitor and because it is old I bought a vga to hdmi adapter even though I plugged everything in it still said that there was no input signal can someone help me quick please

yes you need a more expensive VGA-HDMI CONVERTER...not an adapter only...

its not easy to convert signal from DIGITAL to ANALOG...

the best thing is to connect it to a TV...
