The resolution you provided is the native resolution of the monitor -- the resolution it is designed to use.
If the Dell drivers won't handle that, you need to contact Dell to get working drivers -- I don't believe the softpaq of HP drivers you were provided is going to work on the Dell PC.

Looks like it is an older type monitor, Windows 10 should give it a default driver but some how this did not work. Please try the following driver for Windows 7 (no new driver for Windows 8/8.1 and 10.
