Product: hp Z24i Monitor
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

I am unable to get an HP Z24i Monitor to detect my Apple MacBook Pro 2019 model using the following method: display-port to usb-c via an hp dock.

 

I could connect my macbook pro to another monitor with any of its ports.

 

Please advise.

I have been seeing these posts for several different manufacturers monitors as of late.  Mostly related to Catalina but also some Mojave.

 

In many cases it seems resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) resolves the issue.  Give that a try.
