Example HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-r114
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All,

I am trying to get a second display screen connected via the USB-C port. I have bought a USB-C to HDMI adapter, and have also tried a USB 3.1 Type A to HDMI adapter in that, but the PC isn't recognizing it. I am already using the HDMI cable for the first screen. I have not been able to find if the Type C output is data only, How can I connect a second external monitor to the PC.

I will appreciate your feedback on this.

Thanks,

SD

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to connect a second screen to the computer using the USB C port.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

The USB C port on your computer support data transfer only however, you can use an adapter (Converter) and try connecting an external screen but it is a hit and miss until you find the right adapter which works with your computer.

NOTE: The display is usually supported on a USB C thunderbolt port.

Below is the link to the product specification of your computer.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Hi,

thanks for the reply and the information. I have already tried these adapters, QGeem and Belkin with no success.

can you please suggest other adapters that I can try. I understand that the usb c port in my machine is a data only port.

You can try the below adapter and check if it works on your computer.
