Display screen black

HP Recommended
All in one

Screen is black after start up is complete. When first powered on the hp logo shows, the spinning thing is moving. Then shows the background of the user all that. Then when it goes to the window where you can select programs like weatherbug, Netflix, etc. You can see all that for a few seconds, then the screen goes black. Move the mouse and you can see it move. Click a button on the mouse and it does a gong sound. But if you press the window key on keyboard it pulls up the start menu but if you click on anything it goes away and back to black screen. Ive tried unplugging everything and restarting, ive done a hard reset, and disabled the BIOS. I went through all the steps that hp support told me to minus taking it apart. I dont know what else I can do. My father said it was working fine the other night. When he shut it down it did an update. Computer hadnt been used until the following night after the update and this issue happened.
