Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have  the HP 8000 Elite.  Ultra Slim Desktop  I thought maybe I could buy like a Samsung c32f391 monitor that's a 32 inch curved screen... but maybe in my case I need the Samsung u28e590d the 28 inch curved screen.  I have an HP 2011x 20 inch screen... but maybe the 28 inch Samsung curved screen won't be much different? I'm using Windows 10 Pro and 64 bit.  I know for my HP2011x screen I needed an adapter as a technician said this screen is more modern and higher resolution so maybe this adapter makes it HDMI?  Also I might fix an RCA Led 32 inch TV someone put out of my big high-rise apt complex to be thrown away.  I thought maybe it would be a bigger and better monitor for my computer.  Would that TV work as my monitor?

Thanks!

Hi:

According to the quickspecs for the model series at the link below, the USDT has a display port and a VGA port.

If you want to connect a monitor/TV that only has an HDMI input, you can purchase a Display Port to HDMI cable,

You may not get audio out of the old version display port your PC has.

Hi Winfred,

I believe your PC has a Display Port(DP) connector, not an HDMI, but I cannot seem to find your model number.

The Samsung monitors you mention both have Display port connectors and yes you'll notice a big difference between your current monitor and the 28", there's even a very noticeable difference between the 28" and the 32" especially the curved, curved takes a little getting used to but can be awesome.

I would need the model number of your elite 8000 to confirm the ports it has though.
