Product: Envy 34'"

It looks like the screen may come with a protector that is throwing off the screen quality. Its hard to tell if I should peel this off or if this is just how the monitor is supposed to be? Has anyone encountered same?M

If there is a transparent protective layer,something like you get when you buy a mobile phone,  you could remove it.
