Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi all.  Looking for advice as I’m not very technical.

I have a HP24fw screen and a HPm24fw screen and I am trying to extend the display from a Lenovo thinkpad L380.  However the 2nd screen is not recognised.  I only have one laptop hdmi port so have one screen connected to that then the second screen connected to the first screen via a hdmi to vga.

I think I need a port or splitter is some type but it’s a minefield trying to find what I need as I don’t really know what will or won’t work.

Any advice hugely appreciated.

If I understand correctly, you are daisy chaining the displays using VGA and HDMI adapters.

The only displays that can be daisy chained are certain DisplayPort monitors

Your Lenovo has Wi-Fi and support Micracast.  I suggest you obtain an inexpensive W-Fi to HDMI dongle such as Microsoft "2k" one and use that for one of the monitors.

Note that Wi-Fi projection is not useful for gaming due to lag.

Both monitors need to be connected to the laptop.  In order to do this you will need a docking station.  I am not sure this can be done with a 32 bit os.

As mentioned by @killofox you have a 32 bit OS.

Your CPU is 7th generation INTEL and supports 64bit OS.  The upgrade from 32 to 64 is free but requires a clean install of windows.  Unless you have a specific application that only runs on 32bit OS you really should upgrade to 64 bit windows.

Please verify your OS is really 32 bit
