EliteDisplay E241i

The HP monitor suddenly started flickering and its only the lower half of the display that exbits this bevaiour. There is a horizontal line dividing the screen and everything below it is a flickering mirror image of the content above it.  This flickering continues even if nothing is connected to the monitor [The OSD menu shows up as the flickering image in that case ].

I have tried the following

1. Reset to factory defaults,

2. Let the monitor rest for 5 hours without power.

3. Tried connecting to PC using Display port/DVI port and VGA still the same.

4. Tried different PC , still the same.

5. Just only the monitor with power supply alone connected. still the same.

Nothing seems to make the display issue go away. i do see multiple other folks who have commented similar issues across HP support forum. While those are not for this particular display the description is exactly the same. So the issues seems to be a generic IPS panel behavior.

Hello
You have in my opinion done everything necessary to identify the origin of the problem
So if it's a screen component that is HS ( ,out of order  ? ) there is nothing more we can do here!
If the screen is still guaranteed, contact the after-sales service.
Otherwise, you should contact a professional, he will probably be able to identify which component it is a question of.
given what the repair cost may be, it may be more beneficial to replace it, try to get a quote (estimate of the repair price)
