Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A gap of about an inch has suddenly appeared between the bottom of my windows and the taskbar. If I restart, the gap disappears - but then reappears after a few seconds  F11 works for Edge but not other programs. Advice appreciated

The issue seems to relate to icon and text size and occurs when I try to increase the size. WIN 10 seems to dislike larger text/icon sizes. I did look at your suggestion to update bios, etc but the relevant site was a bit daunting and a message to the effect "we will guide you through" disappeared. So investigations paused while I press on with my work. But thanks, anyway
