Hi! my monitor (the HP 27es) has been showing 'input signal not found' and saying that none of the HDMI cables are connected. no matter what i do (switching around the cords, resetting the monitor, resetting my desktop) the message doesn't change. this is a recent phenomenon. the desktop is an HP omen 870-224. thank you!

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05389962
It has 3 HDMI ports (2 from motherboard and 1 from NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (3 GB) . Two HDMI ports on its motherboard are disabled: Integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed..
(two HDMI ports at location 3 are disabled.)
My question: Which HDMI port do you use ? You have to use HDMI port on the external video card. other TWO ports won't work.
Regards.
