Pavillion Gaming TG01-0723a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I've just purchased the HP Pavillion Gaming desktop. I am wanting to use multiple monitors with an extended display. I can see that there is only 1 functioning HDMI port. I can see there is another output option. Basically I am wanting to know what cord or device I need to buy for my second monitor to be able to connect. It has a HDMI port and a VGA port (not sure of correct terminology).

Hoping that I've provided enough information.

Thanks in advance,

Sarah

The specs of your machine is

          https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06619115

It has  NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 (4 GB GDDR5 dedicated) video card therefore normally you should see 2 sets of video out ports. The first set is disabled and the second set should have following ports : HDMI 2.0b, DL-DVI-D

                  https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/graphics-cards/gtx-1650/

That means you can connect 2 monitors using HDMI and DVI ports therefore you need standard HDMI and DVI cables. You can find them from all good computer stores. Note: for HDMI cable, please buy HDMI cable, version 2.0b which is better

Regards.
