HID Compliant Touchscreen MISSING from Device Manager

HP Recommended
Pavillion All-in-one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Touchscreen stopped working weeks ago. The HID-Compliant Touch Screen driver is not in the device manager (visible or hidden). I have read through all the threads online and have tried:

-HP Support Assistant

-Checking for hardware changes

-Installing all the Windows 10 Updates

-Hard reset

-Recovery

-Resetting Windows

Any ideas?

@BradStaley Welcome to HP Community!

Did you check if the touchscreen works in the BIOS Screen?

  • This would help us determine if this is either a software or hardware related issue, hence I request you tap on F10 during a PC restart and check if you can use the touch feature to select options outside windows.
  • If it doesn't work, this could be a hardware malfunction.
  • If it works, please use the HP website to download all the latest drivers for your device using this link: click here

Didn’t work. HID Compliant Touchscreen is not in the online driver list.

@BradStaley Does this mean it works fine on BIOS? If yes, I suggest updating the BIOS, and installing the latest chipset drivers,

If the issue persists, after updating the same, I suggest you backup all important information/data and perform a system reset: click here for details.
