POWERBOOK
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Does anyone know how to connect the display webcam to a Mac Powerbook ? I don't have the original cable that came with the display.  I can connect the display via HDMI to the mac,  but I can't use the webcam. There is no section in the instruction manual, and couldn't find anything searching in the support pages. Can I use another USB-C cable ?

I reviewed your post and I understand that webcam is not working.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors. To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC. The monitor should operate at 60Hz. The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
