Hi @TechExplorer24, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP computer is stuck at an unusual refresh rate and resolution (H=44.9 kHz, V=30 Hz), and you want to change it to 1366x768 at 60Hz. Follow these steps to adjust it:
Step 1: Check Current Display Settings
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Scroll down and click Advanced display settings.
- Under Display information, check the refresh rate and resolution.
- If 1366x768 at 60Hz is available, select it.
Step 2: Adjust Display Settings in Intel/NVIDIA/AMD Control Panel
For Intel Graphics:
- Right-click on the desktop and open Intel Graphics Command Center or Intel HD Graphics Control Panel.
- Go to Display > General Settings.
- Change the resolution to 1366x768 and refresh rate to 60Hz.
- Click Apply and confirm the changes.
For NVIDIA Graphics:
- Right-click on the desktop and open NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Go to Display > Change Resolution.
- Select 1366x768, then set the refresh rate to 60Hz.
- Click Apply.
For AMD Graphics:
- Right-click on the desktop and open AMD Radeon Software.
- Navigate to Display settings.
- Look for Custom Resolutions and set it to 1366x768, 60Hz.
- Apply the settings.
Step 3: Update or Reinstall Display Drivers
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click your graphics driver (Intel UHD, NVIDIA, or AMD) and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If the issue persists, uninstall the driver, restart, and let Windows reinstall it.
Step 4: Check Monitor Capabilities
- If using an external monitor, ensure it supports 1366x768 at 60Hz.
- If the monitor is old, it might not support higher refresh rates.
- Test with another HDMI, VGA, or DisplayPort cable.
Step 5: Manually Force Resolution (If Not Available)
If 1366x768 at 60Hz is not available
- Install Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) [Third-party tool].
- Run CRU and add a custom resolution:
- Resolution: 1366x768
- Refresh rate: 60Hz
- Restart the PC and check if it appears under Display settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
