HP Recommended

I have an HDMI cable port of the Toshiba  Satellite, but there is no HDMI port on the HP2009m monitor! Just the VGA and the newer white 9 pin (or so) port.  When I test the speakers (via control panel) they're nice and loud. Play anything from the internet, and it is 1/100th the volume. 

I've tried with and without the green audio connector.

 

Both monitor and laptop sound are set at 100%.

 

Sound devices (control panel) shows only 1: RealTek speakers 

Test sounds GREAT, reality, no sound amplification.
