@seriouslyeee333 Welcome to HP Community!

These messages are normal when the computer truly goes into sleep mode or loses the video signal (such as when the computer is turned off). However, if the monitor displays any of these messages when the computer should be displaying video, something is wrong.

If you suspect the monitor should be displaying an image from the PC instead of the message, use one of the following sections that match how the monitor behaves after the computer is powered on:

Also, reduce the resolution of the laptop and then try again.

There is no message.  The image of my desktop is wider and longer than the display screen by about 1/2 an inch.  Even though the settings on the laptop are 1920x1080 and the settings on the monitor are 1920x1080.  I have no error message, just cannot work when I can't see the edges.

@seriouslyeee333 I suggest you try the below steps:

1. Open nvidia control panel

2. select under display tab "Adjust desktop size and position"

3. select size tab

4. tick box in section 2 "enable desktop resizing"

5. Click resize and move till the arrows look correct

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
