Product: HP 23f monitor

I have the monitor hooked up to my security system. I changed the resolution that is not supported by the monitor and it now puts the money in sleep mode after 30 seconds. How do I change it back. I suspect that I may have to connect it to my CPU to access the monitor menu. Any here is appreciated
