HP 2509B monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi; I have a 25" HP 2509B monitor; it is out of warranty, about 8 years old. It's been working great except for about 3 years ago had the 'two seconds on, then blank but showed blue [not amber] on the power. Thought it had died so replaced and was about to trash it... but, found a trick to do a factory-reset via the buttons [not the OSD which wouldn't display].

Unfortunately, I didn't save the key-stroke commands and I can't recreate although I've tried. What happened now, is I was watching a movie on it and using the OCD moved the brightness from setting 90 to 100; then it entered this state of 'two seconds normal, then blank screen with the power button staying blue again.'

Definately the monitor, as I tried another and it's working fine.

Thank you for the help!

Solved - installed the HP Display Assistant, rebooted, and there was the monitor working again.
