HP 25ES Monitor

HP Recommended

My 25es monitor cycles through every input source, 3 sources, when turned on but I have only one HDMI cable plugged into the monitor.  It will stay on one input for a few seconds then switch to another over and over again.  The screen displays that auto switching is turned off.  THe only way i can get the screen to stay on one input channel is if i constantly hold the button to switch inputs.  If I do not hold the button or take my finger off it THe inputs continously cycle.

I tired a factory reset it doesnt solve my issue.  If I touch any of the 3 buttons besides Power On/Off, my monitor will switch inputs and start cyclying through if no button is held down.

The monitor is less than 4 months old.  I purchased it at bestbuy.  I suspect their is an issues iwth some internal button component getting stuck. DOes HP cover an issue like this?

Both installations you told me to download did not solve my problem.  If I am not continously holding a button the display will cycle through inputs.

Hi @dhollasch,

As you have already tried these steps and still having the issue, I would personally suggest you contact our HP phone support for further assistance.

If your product is Out of warranty, then remember to choose the paid options to get the tech support number.

They might have multiple options to help you on this.

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

Keep me posted on any other assistance.

Hope that helps! Let me know 🙂

Please click "Accepted as Solution" on the post that solves your issue to help others find the solution.
