@Melissa2050, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Your HP 27-inch All-in-One with a Ryzen 7 5700U is experiencing random shutdowns where the screen goes black, and it won’t power back on despite the power light being on. Given that this has been happening for months and you've already contacted support, it could be due to several potential issues. Here are some possible causes and fixes:

Possible Causes & Fixes

1. Overheating (Most Likely)

Symptoms: The system shuts down randomly and won’t turn back on immediately.Fix:

  • Ensure proper ventilation by keeping the device on a hard, flat surface.
  • Check if the fan is running loudly before shutdowns, which could indicate overheating.
  • Use HP's Hardware Diagnostics to check the internal temperatures.

2. Faulty Power Supply or Motherboard Issues

Symptoms: The power light stays on, but the system doesn’t respond.Fix:

  • Perform a power reset: Unplug the power cable, hold the power button for 15 seconds, then plug it back in and try turning it on.
  • If the issue persists, it may require repair of the motherboard or power supply.

3. RAM or Storage Problems

Symptoms: The system randomly crashes, especially under heavy loads.Fix:

  • Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics by pressing F2 at startup to check the health of the RAM and SSD.
  • If the RAM is found to be faulty, it may need replacement.

4. Windows 11 Power Management Issues

Symptoms: The PC goes into an unresponsive state and won’t wake up.Fix:

  • Go to Control Panel > Power Options and set the power plan to "High Performance."
  • Disable Fast Startup under Advanced Power Settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
