Hi HP I believe that either I have 2 faulty monitors or the product is not as advertised.

These monitors were bought for me as 30th birthday presents as new monitors for my office setup at home after i had pointed them out to my girlfriend as being pretty much perfect and under £300 each. I looked forward to minimal bevel and the nice green led lighting at the bottom of the monitor. Turns out the led lighting is only the centre portion of the monitor not the full green strip as shown in all the promotional material, which is part of the aesthetic I was after. This in itself is not a deal breaker, but each monitor has an internal bevel of around 5 mm (please see amazon link that includes a "From the Manufacturor" section, and link to the HP store as well)

My intention was to buy 2 decent 27 inch 120-144hz screen with a low response time that could go side by side in my new gaming room, and I thought this was the one. I would like to know if the bevel issue is something I can fix through setup or if it is just misleading advertising, as all the manufacturor images have the displays going right to the edge. I've attempt to use my nvidia control panel but when trying to adjust height or width it will not go beyond the current settings.

A related question on hp supoport site I have found that are similar to my issue imply to me that I'm stuck with monitors that won't be fit for what I want:

in which case I have to upset my girlfriend by saying the "Pefect" monitors she got me have to be returned.

Edit: spelling
