HP 27f 27-inch Display

I have a black dot, and screen looks broken internally. I am out of warranty. How do I go about fixing this? is there a local store that can fix this?

A quick check on ebay shows 150-200 refurbished.  If your screen is cracked I suspect a replacement is far cheaper than a repair.

If the screen is not cracked it could be a bad capacitor.  Here is a video where a user has repaired a few HP monitors and shows a typical bad capacitor.

if you see anything suspicious on the board post a picture and I can give you some tips.

You can get an estimate from HP but it does not look promising
