HP Pavilion Desktop - 510-p136
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want multiple monitors on a HP 510-p136, but I have not luck getting it to work out.  Have a VGA and a HDMI port for video.  I have tried the following methods: HDMI to a docking station to 2 screens, VGA to a docking station to 2 screens, and using both ports on the PC (HDMI and VGA) to a monitor-a monitor in each port.  Will adding a video card for multiple monitors fix the problem?

Thanks for you help!

Steve

The integrated graphics is built-into the CPU.  It is listed as a Intel® Core™ i7-6700T Processor which has limited graphics abilities.  While it may be possible to get a two monitor setup to work, it is not advisable.  It would be more feasible to use a dedicated graphics card for this task. Since the power supply is 180w only a basic dedicated graphics card is possible.

It depends on what the task will be but here is a thread asking about upgrading to a dedicated graphics card for a similar model and power situation.  The card listed in the link below was a PNY GeForce GT 730 2GB DDR3 but if you change the power supply to a 400w a much better card can be used IE: GeForce GT 750 can drive 3 displays
