HP Pavilion All-in-One PC 24-k0000a (7TC07AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I just bought two weeks ago a new Pavillion AIO.

I have a strange problem since first day of use.

When I power on the PC the screen remains black.
But PC is on, because I see power button led on.
If I press power button PC goes in sleep mode and power led is blinking.
If I press again the power button PC wake up in 1 second and screen turns on.

After this I can use without problem the PC, but at next restart I got same problem.

No idea how fix this, I don't think is a HW problem.

Any idea?

Thank you.

New systems typically are missing the latest updates and try to download immediately.  Occasionally the downloads use too many resources and the system may not respond well.

Leave system on-line and do not power off for a day or two. Click on "update" and make sure all win11 updates get installed.  You will have to reboot a few times.

Run the HP support assistant to ensure all HP drivers are updated

Post back here if you still have problems.

This is a guess and my opinion is worth about 0.2c

Your system is configured for fast boot.  That means the hibernate file is used when you turn the power on.  Possibly the hibernate file is configure to go to sleep because it was saved that way.  ie: it boots up quickly into sleep mode.

Try deleting the hibernate file

https://www.google.com/search?q=delete+the+hibernation+file+in+windows+10

The next time you shut the system down, do not turn off the power until all the fans stop and the lights go out.

[edit] Check your power settings to verify the system will shutdown when you click on "shut down" and does not sleep or hibernate.

When I boot the PC I ear the boot win 11 sound, and the PC si on, the problem is that screen is not on, like there is an incorrect source.

PC is on because I can reach it from another PC in the same network.

When I press power button and the pc go to sleep and then I reactivate the monitor turns on.

I tried to disable some sleep feature, but now I cannot activate sleep mode and I cannot reactivate monitor with this workaround.

I would like contact HP support, but is really difficult to do this.

support chat is in India and they are totally incapable to help, they follow a checklist without understand the problem.

All Windows updates are installed and all drivers are updated.

Please configure the power setting so the computer turns off instead of going to sleep

Follow the instructions I provided earlier to delete the hibernate file

I suspect your system is coming out of hibernation and resuming sleep mode.

I tried to disable hibernate option (this delete the file too).

but nothing change.

I tried to rollback to old graphic drivers, but the problem is always here.

Installed microsoft generic video drivers and AMD Radeon drivers (for this last I tried 3 different version).

I updated PC firmware too but nothing.

Yes, I alredy contacted HP support.

A full windows restore doesn't fix it.

I'm waiting... I think I need to send it back.
