I am not even sure I am in the right place. I have an HP Compaq 6000 Pro desktop. My aunt bought it for my mom brand new 6 years ago. Mom was allergic to technology and it sat for a year. After we had to move her to a care facility, I brought the desktop home. I only downloaded a few online hidden object search games from a trusted source. This computer runs SO slowly that I just don’t use it. I can count on my fingers how many times I have used it in the last 4 years. I deleted all of the games. I did a system restore, only keeping photos. There aren’t enough stored there to slow anything down. I have run system maintenance, defragged, and nothing helps.
So basically there isn’t anything taking up space and it won’t run at normal speeds. Like, it takes minutes to load a page or open a window. Any ideas?
If this is in wrong place where should I repost. I am not exactly tech savvy.
