HP ENVY 34 34-inch Display
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When we first installed this monitor, the webcam would pop up at appropriate times, but also at random.  The machine was originally connected to a domain, but we have recently removed that connection.  Since then, the webcam has to be manually activated and never automatically pops up at all.  Has anyone else experienced this and have a solution?

Alright.  I installed the Monitor Drive and the Hello Webcam Drive (not the one for v1703, though, as that is not the installed version of Windows i have).  I attempted the firmware update, but whether it was successful is impossible for me to tell because it appears to crash after it starts to run.  The HP Connection Optimizer installs, but there what that is supposed to do is anyone's guess as there is no trace of the program after installation.

Ultimately, nothing has changed in regards to the camera.  What do we try next?

Thanks for keeping us posted

By any chance have you tried the Monitor with another computer?
