HP ENVY AIO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since updating to Windows 10 1903 (Spring 20190 Update) HP Display Control no longer operates properly. While the basic display modes can be selected by right-clicking the Display Control icon in the Notification Area, the Advanced Options window cannot be created. An icon for HP Display Control appears in the Taskbar, but the window never does. I also seem to recall that when the Control was working properly there was also a separate mode for photo editing. Current graphic adapter driver is Intel HD Graphics 630, version 25.20.100.6446.

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Well, actually I began my post by saying that the issue had arisen following updating to the latest version of Windows 10 (1903). And I've had HP Support Assistant up and running since setting up my Envy AIO (not laptop). I even went onto HP.com and downloaded the reinstalled the latest version of HP Display Control. So I'm reasonably sure at this point that "make sure your drivers are up to date" is not the solution to this issue.

Download and run the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant from this Link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
