G62-121EE
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The laptop is a G62-121EE model and is a pretty old model but has been working pretty well for several years. It tends to overheat when watching shows or playing games so it is now a strictly work computer so the duration at which it overheats is greatly lessened. It was working fine up till today afternoon. I was doing some work and suddenly the laptop turned off. When I turned it on the computer started beeping and the screen was black, any key I pressed resulted in a beep. So I force shut it down through the power key and removed the battery for a few minutes. When I turned the laptop on again it booted with a single short beep and displayed only an orange light on the Wi-Fi key. The number keys beep but i pressed the enter key and they stopped beeping. The screen remains blank and I don't know what to do. Please help!

@Nie_ata

I suggest you perform a power drain and try getting to BIOS

Shut down the Notebook, remove the battery and the AC Adapter and hold the power button for 30 seconds

Put back the battery and ac adapter and upon restarting keep tapping on the F10 key till you see System Configuration Menu ( BIOS )

If you are unable to get to BIOS, then it would be a Hardware issue and you need to contact HP Support and check for Service Options

Thank you
