HP Monitor 2311xi compatibility with windows10

HP Recommended
HP Monitor 2311xi
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I currently have windows 7 operating system and will be upgrading from a desktop to a windows 10 laptop.  I want to know if my current HP monitor will be compatible with windows 10.  It appears HP support does not answer questions if equipment is not in warranty.  Can anyone help or direct me where else I can find out the answer?  Tks.

Hi,

Okay.

I checked specs (Link) and only saw VGA and DVI-D. HP specs may be wrong.

Then you are good to go.

Regards

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Monitors will work correctly on many different operating systems provided the monitor video input connections are compatible with the video output connections on the PC.

Newer Laptops only have HDMI connections. Your monitor only supports DVI-D and VGA.

This is a problem for you.

You could check Newegg (Link) or Amazon (Link) for DVI-D to HDMI adapters.

Regards

I think I"ve goofed up this thread; it's very confusing; please ignore anything to do with October post; I don't know how to make or delete them as "done".  I think i made the mistake of the two questions being too similar.  The Oct question was before I actually had a new laptop.
