So I got a new 4k Sony TV.  I want to hook up audio and video from the pc to tv.  I can get video through a DVI out from pc to hdmi in either on tv or 4K receiver.  But no audio.  I read that this particular chord will not provide audio.  I used the red and white audio out from back of pc into receiver with my old Sony.  With this new tv, can’t get both to play at the same time.  Either audio or video separately.  Help and thanks.

Hello
Audio transfer can only be done via hdmi directly, not possible from dvi.
If you cannot use an audio input from the TV, you need to find another solution.
All you have to do is connect the computer, either to an IFi system, amplified speakers ..

Thanks for the reply.  I figured it out.  I used the green audio out back of pc. Other end are red and white audio.  Plugged into receiver tv input and good to go.
