Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I own HP Pavilion 24-b201nt computer and just bought a new monitor with Type-C support. When I connect the monitor to the type-C input of the computer, I was expecting to see a display on my machine however it doesn't.

The Type-C USB input seems to work with a microphone/headphone, and as a USB hub.

I'm wondering is there an option somewhere to enable Type-C USB display port output if possible, to connect my monitor to this USB input? Or Is there any device I need to make it work?

Thank you,

It does not appear your system supports thuinderbolt.

I looked at your specification here

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05448497

and the motherboard specs here

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05348277

and did not see anything like the following

You will be limited to adding a second monitor using either a Wireless Adapter or a USB3 to HDMI Dongle.

Both will lag for gaming but will function fine otherwise

Dongle goes about $15 on amazon (not sure of your locatoin)

and the Microsoft Wireless Adapter requires your system to support Miracasts

If your system has Wi-Fi (indicted in the top specification link) then you might try a 4k or 2k wireless adapter for your monitor.
Your system will need to support Miracast as described here
