HP Pavilion 590-p0066
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have two HP 27yhDisplay monitors.  Computer does not recognize the second one.  I have followed all the trouble-shooting tips in the online support--unplugging everything and starting over, pressing the Windows key and P at the same time and choosing "Extend," etc. Checked that Windows updates are current.  Every time I go to the Display setting, there is only one monitor, and if I try to detect another I get the message that another one was not detected.  I am using a 1x2 HDMI 4K2K Splitter, and both input LEDs are on.

@DrSLP80

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Configure the display with Windows

  1. Right-click anywhere on the desktop, and then click Display settings (Windows 10)
  2. Make sure the correct number of monitors displays. ...
  3. Scroll down to Multiple displays, if necessary, click the drop-down menu, and then select a display option.
