I noticed one day that the touchscreen on this computer was not working anymore. probably after a windows update.  I've read up on the HID Comliant Touch Screen enable/disable fix but the HID compliant touch screen is not even listed in device manager.

This is so frustrating. How do I get this touchscreen working again?

1. Run the F2 diagnostics (Tap F2 on boot) and go to component tests, Touch Screen.

2. If the Touch Tests Pass, Then it's a Windows issue, and you'll either need to load a previous restore point, or do a full F11 factory restore.

3. If the Touch Tests fail or Touch Screen is NOT THERE as an option, then the TS is faulty. OR you could go into BIOS (F10 on boot) and go to the security tab and make sure INTERNAL USB PORTS is ENABLED. If they're disabled, the TS will not be seen.

Hope this helps.
